Anchored Training Objectives

This workshop introduces an integrative framework for understanding development and the impact of complex trauma across the lifespan. Grounded in the Anchored Relational model for working with Complex PTSD and dissociation, it brings together insights from neurology, development, dignity and competence, resilience, vulnerability, and intersectionality to support more effective, compassionate clinical practice.

Participants will Explore:

  • The theoretical foundations of the Anchored Relational Model

  • The neurology of development, attachment, and information processing

  • The neurological, epigenetic, and developmental impacts of trauma across the lifespan

  • Core Survival Networks and the continuum of neuro-dissociative states

  • Interventions for self-relational, somatic, and neurological regulation, as well as interactional skills

  • Anchored resourcing strategies across all phases of therapy

  • Integrated memory-processing approaches for complex neuro-dissociative states

  • The impact of traumatic bonding on clients, therapists, and the therapeutic relationship

  • Compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, self-compassion, and therapist self-care

  • Patterning and programming within families and systems of control

  • How conditioning is embedded in societal systems such as racism, misogyny, and religious persecution

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand how trauma impacts neurology, development, and regulation

  • Apply the Anchored Relational Model to clinical conceptualization and treatment

  • Use integrative frameworks to make sense of trauma symptoms and patterns

  • Implement effective interventions for regulation and across neuro-dissociative states

  • Address patterning and programming across individual, relational, and systemic contexts

  • Strengthen therapeutic presence, including self-awareness, compassion, and sustainability in practice

Instructional Methods:

  • Lectures with multimedia support to introduce key concepts

  • Experiential exercises to deepen understanding and application

  • Interactive consultation for case conceptualization and treatment strategy

  • Small-group practica to build skills and therapeutic presence
